Safety

Make sure baby's airway remains open at all times when babywearing.
-Baby should never have their chin resting on their chest
-Baby's face shouldn't be covered by fabric
-Baby should be close enough to kiss

Make sure your carrier provides adequate support for your infant's developing neck & back.
-Baby's head should be supported
-Optimally, baby's knees should be higher than baby's butt

Make sure to inspect your carrier for wear or damage before each use.

Make sure to practice all carries with a spotter, over a bed or couch, or close to the ground.

Make sure to always exercise common sense while babywearing.
-If the activity calls for protective equipment (car seats, life vests, safety goggles, etc) or you wouldn't do it while holding an infant in arms, it isn't safe to babywear.
